Kevan Burns, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma is the oldest of three boys born to Tim and Teri Burns. Kevan's younger brother Tyler is attending the University of Mobile in Alabama and will be joining their father and Kevan as a sales manager for T&K Contracting. Ryan the middle brother protects and serves the Tucson, Arizona community as Tucson Police Officer.
While attending Troy State University Kevan was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks 1999. During his seven year long career Kevan was given many unique opportunities. He played all over the world, hit for the cycle and blew a save opportunity for Mike James, Colorado Rookies when he homered in 8th (Dbacks vs Rookies March 28, 2002). The most important aspect of his career is his ability to teach the necessary techniques to little league players and amateur players trying to make it the next level. Because of this talent, Kevan was able to launch Live The Dream Athletics. He also designed and patented a hitting aide called the Power Punch. Plus two of his athletes have gone on to play professional baseball. Kyle Murphy was drafted last year by the Texas Rangers and Pj Connelly was drafted by the Los Angles Angels in 2006.
In 2007 Kevan was given the honor of being inducted to the Troy State Hall of Fame along with his College Baseball Coach and mentor John Mayotte. Kevan enjoyed and celebrated this moment with his father and brothers.
